Our Approach

Agility Embraces Change

Making changes starts with knowledge and skills. But there’s no one-size-fits-all training program that will give your team the skills they need. Our holistic approach to training begins before class and continues well after class to Make Learning Stick.

We Make Learning Stick

Did you know that students lose 50-80% of what they learn within 24 hours? This figure jumps to 97% after just 30 days. Overcoming this can be difficult. However, we help make a difference through our Make Learning Stick program.

Through critical touch points, our holistic approach to learning and development improves student retention and implementation of the material – boosting your overall ROI.

Forgetting Curve

Training courses themselves have limited effectiveness if the learning points are not revisited or reinforced for retention. This is called the “Forgetting Curve.”

B2T helps address the “Forgetting Curve” by investing in your team not only during the learning event, but more importantly before and after as well. A pre-class call helps the instructor understand the participants and desired outcomes, allowing them to make the message as relevant as possible during training.

Making It Stick

Our post-class Making Learning Stick Program is where B2T really makes a difference with your investment.  Reflective activities help reshape the “Forgetting Curve”:

The outcome of Make Learning Stick is facilitated through a proven 3 Phased Approach to obtaining and retaining knowledge which ensures real skill improvement, not just the delivery of training materials.

3 Phased Approach

Our 3 Phased approach to learning ensures real skill improvement, not just the delivery of training materials.

our classroom experience is different from what you may have experienced elsewhere.  We minimize lecturing in favor of workshops, simulations, and other hands-on activities for participants.  We’ve been evolving and improving our courseware and classroom experience since our first agile courses were developed in 2010.

Our team members. We don’t just teach it, we live it and practice it (link to About?)
Our courses. Time-tested content that has evolved with industry best practices and methodologies.
Our partnerships. Through our partnership with ICAgile, we offer industry-leading certifications. Our courseware and instructors have undergone rigorous screenings in preparation for leading these courses.

To help accomplish your desired outcome, B2T Training holds a pre-planning session with the assigned instructor and customer management for each class. This helps the instructor have a clear understanding of the objectives for the class so the delivery is highly relevant to the students. Our instructors are practicing business analysis professionals as well as adult education specialists.  What this means for you is that they are highly qualified to not only effectively transfer knowledge to your team, but also bring current, relevant examples and experiences to the sessions.

In addition, all our courses include hands-on workshops giving students many opportunities to experience the techniques in class so your team can return to their desks better able do their job. In private sessions like this one, we encourage students to bring real-life examples to class in order focus on effective application of the new skills and techniques once they get “back to their desks.”

Finally, B2T implements a “Making Learning Stick” program to help overcome the Forgetting Curve and increase the level of knowledge retention. This process includes a post class action plan for each student, reflective questions, and two post-class sessions with the instructor and students to share feedback on what has worked after implementing new techniques.
